A big THANK YOU to all of the students and their families that contributed to this year’s Holiday Fund! With your help we raised a total of $1,376.01! We’re also pleased to tell you that the teachers plan to use the funds towards the Character Counts assemblies (banners). Dr. Ramoundos has been given a list with all of the donor names along with a poster to be displayed in the teacher’s lounge (and not the main office as previously stated).
Thank you again!

Young Writers’ Day was this past Friday, 12/1/17, hopefully your child or children had something to share from the amazing guests and assembly all students attended. Thank you to the following local businesses for donating a portion of the food for the lunch to all the guests and staff at Manoa:
Primos Hoagies – Havertown
Bria & Latella – Havertown
Giant – Havertown
Dunkin Donuts – Havertown
And a huge thank you for all the homemade salads, appetizers, cookies and brownies as well as all the other donations from the Manoa Families. The guests and Manoa Staff were so appreciative and enjoyed their lunch. Thank you all for supporting the PTO, and we hope your child or children enjoyed Young Writers’ Day as much as the artists enjoyed being with the Manoa Students.

The Manoa PTO sponsors the Holiday Fund every holiday season. The funds raised from this drive are used to purchase something for the school that benefits all of the grades. The item is usually nominated by the teachers and given in their name. Information about the item decided by the staff will be announced soon.
In the past, parents have elected to donate to the Holiday Fund instead of purchasing individual teacher gifts. The Manoa PTO is a non-profit organization under IRS Code section 501(c)(3) and is recognized as a Public Charity under section 509 (a)(2). Your donation may be tax deductible and/or eligible for your employer’s matching contribution program.
If you would like to be a part of this year’s Holiday Fund, you can click on the link on the right hand side marked “Holiday Fund Donation” and it will take you right to the Manoa PTO PayPal account. You may also submit a donation in an envelope marked PTO Holiday Fund – ATTN: Alexis Pasternak. Please include your child’s name and homeroom and that it is for the Holiday Fund. Checks can be made payable to Manoa PTO.
Please have all donations returned to the school by Friday, December 15. Dr. Ramoundos will be presented with the names of the families who donated, but not the amount each family donated. Those same names will also be displayed in the school office as well (unless indicated otherwise).
Thank you so much!
